Academic Excellence, Experiential Learning & Career Prep include the following areas to support:
- Experiential Learning Grants: The Experiential Learning Grant Program will be used to support students engaging in internships, research, service and missional learning, and study abroad programs.
- COBA Student Research Fund: Funds will be used to support COBA student research organizations by covering conference-related expenses, including travel, registration, and presentation costs. This support enables students to present faculty-mentored, peer-reviewed research at national and international conferences and participate in professional development and research competitions.
- COBA Professional Development Fund: The COBA Student Professional Development Fund is designed to increase students' access to professional development opportunities.
- Communication Major Experiential Learning: This fund provides scholarships for communication majors who participate in departmental experiential learning opportunities. These opportunities include study abroad and our "Democracy in America" January short-course in Washington, DC.
- Student Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Experiential Learning Fund: This fund supports experiential learning that connects classroom instruction with career readiness for dietetics students. Funds may support additional professional development opportunities, including student memberships in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, access to dietetics databases, and on-campus learning events.
- Maker Lab Young Entrepreneur Fund: Funds will be used to purchase a Roland BN-2 series printer/cutter and related t-shirt design materials, including printing supplies, software, and production tools. This equipment will support hands-on learning in apparel and graphic design by allowing students to design, print, and produce custom apparel, gaining practical experience with industry-standard technology.
- Moot Court: Funds will be used to launch ACU’s first Undergraduate Moot Court program, enabling students to train and compete in nationally recognized competitions governed by the American Moot Court Association.
- NextGen Radar Learning Lab: Help us establish and equip the NextGen Radar Learning Lab within the Department of Engineering and Physics. This lab will provide hands-on learning opportunities for undergraduates in radar systems, signal processing and electronics. Specifically, your support will help provide radar sensors, electronic components, measurement instruments and lab materials, as well as support student research projects and experiential learning activities. Students will gain practical skills and experience in cutting-edge technology, directly enhancing their education and preparing them for careers in engineering and related fields.
- JMC Video Podcasting: Funds will be used to convert an existing conference room in the Student Media News Lab into a professional video podcasting studio for high-quality audio and visual production.
